Inflation
One reason Rome fell was because of inflation. Rome stopped conquering lands,and this stopped the flow of gold into Rome's economy. Because of this the amount of gold and value in coins dropped. This made the prices fly up and made the poor poorer. The money that was used to maintain the empire was lost and the empire began to crumble. This made the empire weak an it's enemies could attack. 7
